As a mom of a three-year-old beautiful daughter, working while being a hands-on mom is difficult, especially now that she's already in her pre-school. I worked as a sales and marketing specialist for almost three years and I have enjoyed my journey working in my previous job. Since I am responsible in all of my daughter’s needs at school and at home, my husband and I have to make a big decision in choosing priority between work or being a full-time mom.
My previous job has taught me good communication, confidence, positivism, marketing skills, job title promotions and many more; and of course, it has molded me to be a better person and I am thankful enough for the opportunity and learning I have gained. But because I have seen and weighed that my child needs focus attention and guidance in her journey as a school little girl, I have chosen to be a full-time mom, with no regrets in my heart. Grateful that I can now spend more time with my daughter and my husband, do household chores, focus in our small business, and enjoy the things that I love.
While scanning through my Facebook account, I found virtual assistance courses here and there. I thought of joining but since I have to pay for the course and was very expensive and funny that I thought it was free, and for the hopes that I can my help my husband in our bills and other expenses through online job while taking care of our child, I got really disappointed and discouraged. Several days have passed, a post on Facebook from Filipino Virtual Assistance that was currently offering courses for the lowest price (an anniversary promo), has caught my attention. Well, the price posted was really a great deal! So, without hesitation, I enrolled myself in FVA.
One of many reasons I joined FVA is that I wanted to learn about virtual assistance and freelancing services. Filipino Virtual Assistance through the dedication of our Coach, Mrs. Grace Locsin, had given me hope and courage that it is not impossible to still work at home while being a full-time mom. In fact, it gave me more confidence to work hard not just for our daily needs, but I also wanted to be an inspiration to every mom at home and gain new skills and knowledge that I could share with my children and others in the future. This whole new journey is very challenging, and I am willing to do more and be out of my comfort zone.
